Pair of Battling Bishops Earn USA South Weekly Honors

Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has released its weekly honors for March 12th, and a pair of Battling Bishops have been recognized in their respective sports of men's tennis and baseball.

Men's Tennis Player of the Week
Sebastian Sikh, N.C. Wesleyan - The senior from Eskilstuna, Sweden earned a 2-0 record at both the #1 singles and #3 doubles positions last week for the Battling Bishops. The singles victories came over opponents from Pfeiffer and Division II Mercyhurst. In doubles, Sikh teamed with David Chang to earn the wins. 

Baseball Rookie Pitcher of the Week
Drew Tubb, N.C. Wesleyan - The freshman from Tampa, Florida earned a complete-game victory in a 6-1 win over USA South rival Greensboro in his only appearance on the mound last week for the Battling Bishops. Tubb allowed one run on seven hits with zero walks and two strikeouts.
