A four-time All-Conference selection and two-time All-District honoree, Clark was recognized as the NCWC Male Athlete of the Year in 1981 and 1982. His #3 jersey was retired at the conclusion of his career.

A 1982 graduate of the College, Clark went on to play in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization before returning the area to begin a 30-year career as a teacher/coach with the Nash/Rocky Mount school system.  His wife, Lisa, is also a Wesleyan alum, while his son, Tyler, followed in his father's footsteps as a member of the Battling Bishop baseball program.

Clark returned to Wesleyan in the fall of 2012 as head coach of the Bishops' junior varsity squad. Most recently in 2013, he was inducted into the USA South Hall of Fame.
