Daniel Wright graduated from North Carolina Wesleyan in
1986 as basketball's all-time leading scorer and rebounder with
1,445 points and 547 rebounds. A two-time All-Conference
player in 1984-85 and 1985-86, Wright was also the Most Valuable
Player of the Dixie Conference Tournament in 1984.
Selected to the All-South Region team in 1986, Wright
ranked first in career games played at Wesleyan with 114
during his career. His 106 made free throws in
1985-86 were also ranked in the top-5 all-time.
During his stellar Bishop career, Wright’s teams went
83-13, won two regular season conference titles, earned one
conference tournament championship and made an appearance in the
1984 NCAA Tournament.
