Tim Donovan enters his ninth season with the North Carolina Wesleyan Sports Medicine staff and third as Head Athletic Trainer. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he came to Wesleyan from Ohio University where he completed his M.S. in Athletic Training in June of 2011. Donovan had previously received his B.S. degree from Slippery Rock University in 2009.

While completing his graduate coursework, Donovan served as head athletic trainer at Parkersburg High School for two seasons. His experience includes working with a variety of sports at both the high school and collegiate levels, including football, soccer, basketball, lacrosse, baseball, and softball. Additionally, he has served as a teaching assistant in courses such as Practical Application and Therapeutic Modalities, among others.

A Certified Athletic Trainer, Donovan is a member of several professional organizations (NATA, OATA, GLATA) and owns both Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED certifications. In addition to serving as head ATC, he serves as an instructor within NCWU's Exercise Science department.

Tim primarily works with football, golf, and softball.

He and his wife, NCWC head volleyball coach Vicky Gentile, and their daughter, Gianna, reside in Rocky Mount.
