Baseball's Norzagaray Earns All-Region Honors at Shortstop

Rocky Mount, N.C. - The 2015 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region teams have been announced, and for the first time in his stellar career, North Carolina Wesleyan's Ciro Norzagaray was honored as a Second Team All-South performer at shortstop.

A junior who hails from Mexico City, Mexico, Norzagaray led the Battling Bishops in nearly every offensive category this spring, including batting average, hits, doubles, triples, homers, RBIs, total bases and slugging percentage. His .405 batting average ranked 3rd in the USA South, while on the mound, he posted a 3.6 earned run average in conference play. For his efforts, he was named a Second Team All-Conference selection, as well as the Battling Bishops' Most Valuable Player.

The eight ABCA/Rawlings All-Region teams (New England, New York, Mid-Atlantic, South, Mideast, Central, Midwest and West) can be found on the ABCA here.

Congratulations Ciro!
