Rocky Mount, N.C. - The N.C. Wesleyan baseball program is pleased to announce that freshman Brad Pennington has been named D3Baseball.com's South Region Rookie of the Year, as well as a First Team All-Region performer by both D3Baseball and the ABCA.
A native of Wilmington, N.C., Pennington led the Battling Bishops in nearly every offensive category this past season, including at-bats (154), batting average (.390), runs (34), hits (60), doubles (19), triples (4), total bases (99), and slugging percentage (.643). For his efforts, he garned Co-Most Valuable Player honors for the Battling Bishops this spring.
