USA South Baseball Rookie of the Week

Tyson Bass, N.C. Wesleyan - The freshman third baseman from Wilson, North Carolina went a combined 8-for-15 (.533) with a .611 on-base percentage and a 1.333 slugging percentage to go along with eight runs scored, eight RBI, four doubles, one triple, two home runs, three walks and one stolen base as the Battling Bishops swept a three-game series against USA South foe Mary Baldwin, the team's only action of last week. 

Bass, who is hitting .295 with 4 home runs, 26 RBIs, and team-bests in runs scored with 44 and stolen bases with 15, has helped lead the Bishops to a 17-1 conference record this season en route to a Regular Season East Division Championship.

The 12th ranked Bishops, with an overall record of 29-6, will next host rival William Peace University in the East Division Championship Series on Sunday and if necessary Monday from Bauer Field. First pitch is set for Noon on Sunday.
