Greensboro, N.C. - North Carolina Wesleyan's defense completely stifled Greensboro College on Saturday afternoon, limiting the Pride to just 80 yards of total offense en route to the fifth shutout in program history, 44-0. NCWC dominated the other side of the ball as well, led by Adrian Minondo and Malik Adams who combined for 239 yards and a trio of touchdowns.

The Bishops forged a 27-0 lead at the half. Senior Christopher Richardson got things started with a 25-yard field goal in the first quarter, while Veon Byrd, Minondo, and Deandre Gillis each notched rushing scores in the second. Richardson's 22-yarder completed the first half scoring.

Wesleyan posted a pair of TDs in the third period -- the first coming on a 2-yard rush by Minondo and the second seeing freshman quarterback Donielle Totten throw his first touchdown pass, a 26-yard strike to Adams. Richardson split the uprights from 30 yards out with just over six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter to secure the 44-0 final.

While the 44 points were a season-high for the Bishops, Wesleyan's defense stole the show. The 80 yards allowed set a new program record, while the shutout is the first since September of 2014. Senior Rakeem Cooper led the way six solo tackles and one sack, and as a team, the Bishops tallied six tackles-for-loss, two pass break-ups, one pick, and a block.

Wesleyan (3-3, 2-1 USA South) returns home next Saturday to host Averett University. Kickoff is slated for 1:00pm.
