Buschman Set to Join Battling Bishop Football Coaching Staff

Rocky Mount, N.C. - N.C. Wesleyan head football coach Jeff Filkovski is pleased to announce Justin Buschman as the latest addition to the Battling Bishop coaching staff. Buschman, who will guide running backs, joins NCWC after a successful four-year stint at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Buschman recently completed his fourth year at Rose-Hulman, which culminated with an NCAA Division III playoff berth in 2016. That same 2016 season saw him guide a ground attack that racked up nearly 2,000 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns en route to an 8-3 overall record. Last season's success came on the heels of a solid 2015 campaign that saw Buschman's Fightin' Engineers rank among the HCAC (Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference) leaders in rushing offense at 181.1 yards per game.

Prior to taking over running backs, Buschman served as assistant defensive backs coach at Rose-Hulman for two years. His efforts included drills with the defensive secondary, breakdown of opponent film, and assisting with defensive scouting reports. He also assisted with video coordination, editing, and data entry into the HUDL system.

Buschman completed his bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Exercise Science at Indiana State University in 2015. He is currently enrolled in the master's degree program at Indiana State, which he should complete later this fall. He and his wife, Alyson, have one daughter, and the trio is in the process of relocating to the Rocky Mount area.

Welcome Justin!
