Rocky Mount, N.C. - The North Carolina Wesleyan men's basketball program is pleased to announce that junior guard Adrian Moore has been named an Honorable Mention Preseason All-American by DIII News. Moore is looking to build on a stellar sophomore campaign that saw the Plymouth, N.C. native garner First Team USA South All-Conference honors after ranking in the top-5 in the conference in scoring, field goal percentage, and steals.

A versatile offensive player and lockdown defender, Moore averaged over 17 points per game during USA South play last season, leading his Bishops to a 20-win season and the 2015-2016 regular season conference title. His 17.1 points per game, 54.7 field goal percentage, and 29 steals in league action are a primary reason that DIII News also named him the preseason favorite to earn Conference Player of the Year accolades.

Moore will anchor a young Bishop line-up that graduated five starters last season. He seems poised to so, entering his junior season having already netted 599 career points, grabbed 232 rebounds, dished out 146 assists, and racked up 114 steals.

Moore and his Bishops begin their quest to defend their title at 12:00am on October 15 when "Midnight Madness" returns to Everett Gymnasium.
