Battling Bishop Duo Sweeps USA South Weekly Awards

Rocky Mount, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has released its weekly basketball awards for November 21st with N.C. Wesleyan's Adrian Moore and A.J. Frye sweeping the first honors of the season.

Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Adrian Moore, N.C. Wesleyan - The junior guard from Plymouth, North Carolina averaged 29.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game as the Bishops posted a 1-1 record last week at the season-opening Marlin Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Virginia Wesleyan. In an 89-85 loss to Concordia (TX), Moore notched 29 points, six rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block. In a 90-71 victory over Frostburg State, Moore totaled 30 points, nine rebounds, six assists and three steals. For his efforts, Moore was named to the All-Tournament team.

Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
A.J. Frye, N.C. Wesleyan - The Wilmington, North Carolina freshman center averaged 14.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 block per game at the VWC tourney. Versus Concordia (TX), Frye notched his frist career double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds to go along with four assists, one steal and one block. Against Frostburg State, Frye totaled ten points, nine rebounds, three assists and one block.
