Wesleyan Duo Sweeps USA South Weekly Awards for a Third Time

Rocky Mount, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has released its weekly basketball awards for January 30th with N.C. Wesleyan's Adrian Moore and A.J. Frye sweeping honors for a third time this season.

Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Adrian Moore, N.C. Wesleyan - The junior guard from Plymouth, N.C. averaged a double-double of 15.3 points and 11.7 rebounds per game in a 2-1 week for the Bishops. He also added 5.3 assists and 2.7 steals per contest. In a 79-74 win over Methodist, Moore tallied a triple-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists to go along with three steals. In a 59-56 victory over Covenant, Moore notched a double-double of 21 points and 15 rebounds with two steals, one assist and one block. Finally, in an 82-71 loss to Maryville, he totaled 11 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
A.J. Frye, N.C. Wesleyan - The Wilmington, N.C. freshman forward averaged 19.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 blocks per game last week for the Bishops. In the Methodist win, Frye tallied a career-high 26 points with five rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one steal. He followed that performance up with seven points and two rebounds in NCWC's victory at Covenant. Finally at Maryville, Frye contributed 24 points, five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block.
