Rocky Mount, N.C. - The N.C. Wesleyan men's basketball team wrapped up its regular slate on Saturday, falling to Pfeiffer University in Everett Gym. Prior to tip-off, the Bishops honored their two seniors: Adrian Moore and Malique Judd.

The high-scoring Falcon offense performed as advertised on Saturday as Pfeiffer cruised to a 132-76 win over the Bishops. The Falcons (20-4) knocked down 23 treys on the day -- 13 of which came in the first half alone.

Wesleyan stayed within striking distance over the first ten minutes of play, with the Falcons eventually pulling away for a 41-31 advantage midway the period. It was then that Pfeiffer caught fire from the behind the arc, using a 19-3 run over an 8-minute span to extend Wesleyan's deficit. The Falcons went on to build a 66-37 lead at the break.

The second half mirrored the first as PU netted another 66 points and drained ten more three-pointers. Blake Smith led the way with 27 points, connecting on nine attempts from downtown.

For the Bishops, Moore made the most of his senior day with a team-high 14 points, while Judd pulled down a team-high eight rebounds. Junior Justin Tankelewicz joined Moore in double-figures with 12 points on four treys -- all of which came in the opening period.

The Bishops (15-10) will now focus their attention on the 2018 USA South Conference Tournament. As the East Division's #1 seed, Wesleyan will host 4th-seeded Greensboro College in Tuesday night's opening round. Tip-off is slated for 7:00pm. As a reminder, no school passes or complimentary tickets will be honored for this USA South event. Tickets are $8/person, $3/students w/ID. The NCWC Student Affairs Office has graciously offered to pay for the first 50 Wesleyan students in attendance.
