USA South Releases Academic All-Conference Team
May 31, 2013The USA South Athletic Conference has released its 2012-2013 Academic All-Conference Team, and North Carolina Wesleyan is pleased to announce that 62 Battling Bishops have garnered recognition. -
Athletics Hosts 48th Annual Awards Ceremony
April 24, 2013The North Carolina Wesleyan Department of Athletics hosted its 48th Annual Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 24th, in the Garner Lobby of the Dunn Center. Coaches, staff and student-athletes came together to celebrate the accomplishments of both individuals and teams from the 2012-2013 season.

Golf Season Ends at USAS Tourney, Wilson Honored
April 14, 2013The N.C. Wesleyan golf team wrapped up its 2013 slate over the weekend at the USA South Conference Championship held at Rocky Mount's Benvenue Country Club. The Battling Bishops carded a 6th-place finish as a team and were led by sophomore Lucas Norman's 13th-place individual showing. Additionally, junior Allen-Michael Wilson was honored at Friday night's awards ceremony as NCWC's representative on the league's All-Sportsmanship Team.

Bishop Golfers Take 3rd at Piedmont Spring Invite
April 02, 2013North Carolina Wesleyan's golf team was back in action on Monday and Tuesday, earning a 3rd-place finish among six teams competing at Piedmont College's Spring Invitational. The Bishops carded rounds of 317 and 316 as a team to beat out USA South foes Maryville and Piedmont, who finished 4th and 5th, respectively.

NCWC Golf Cards 5th-Place Finish at Camp LeJeune
March 24, 2013Sophomore Lucas Norman carded a one-over par 215 with rounds of 69, 73 and 73 to help lead his N.C. Wesleyan golf team to a 5th-place finish among 16 teams competing in the Camp LeJeune Championships' Scarlett bracket this weekend in Jacksonville. As a team, the Bishops turned in a solid 899, which included opening rounds of 299 and 295.

Wesleyan Golf Hosts, Wins Don Scalf Invitational
March 18, 2013North Carolina Wesleyan's golf team hosted its annual Don Scalf Invitational on Sunday and Monday, and for the second straight season, the Battling Bishops were able to take the team championship. Sophomore Lucas Norman fought adverse conditions to card rounds of 70 and 75 to finish at 1-over par and secure medalist honors for the second time in his collegiate career.

Bishop Golfers Finish 3rd at Mars Hill Intercollegiate
March 04, 2013Led by sophomore Lucas Norman's 10th-place individual finish, the Battling Bishop golf team of North Carolina Wesleyan opened its 2013 spring season over the weekend with a solid 3rd-place showing among ten teams at the Mars Hill Echo Farms Intercollegiate.

Bishops Wrap Up Fall Season at O'Briant Memorial
October 24, 2012North Carolina Wesleyan's golf team wrapped up its fall season on Monday and Tuesday, competing at the annual O'Briant-Jensen Memorial Tournament hosted by Guilford College. Junior Allen-Michael Wilson paced the Bishops with two rounds of 81, which marked the low Bishop rounds of the tourney.

Norman Earns Medalist Honors at Bullfight Summons
October 22, 2012North Carolina Wesleyan's Lucas Norman earned medalist honors at Friday's Bullfight Summons hosted by Louisburg College, helping his Bishops to a first-place finish among the three-team field. Norman's 1-under 71 was four strokes better than teammates Stephen Bardswick and Jarrett Hagler, who tied for second place with a round of 75.

Wesleyan Golf Finishes 14th at Tom Kinder Memorial
September 17, 2012North Carolina Wesleyan's golf team competed at Bridgewater College's Tom Kinder Memorial on Sunday and Monday, finishing 14th among a field of 18 teams. The Bishops rebounded from a 324 in the opening round for a solid 306 on Tuesday. NCWC was once again paced by Lucas Norman, who turned in an 8-over 152 (79-73).

Bishops Honor Local Heroes With 9/11 Passes
September 14, 2012September 11th is a time for remembering our fallen heroes from New York to Pennsylvania to Washington, D.C. It is also a time to recognize those local heroes that risk their lives daily to insure the safety of our Rocky Mount community. For this reason, the student-athletes of North Carolina Wesleyan annually honor our local policemen and firefighters by distributing season passes for all Battling Bishop sporting events.

Norman Paces Wesleyan Golf at CenturyLink Invite
September 12, 2012North Carolina Wesleyan's golf team competed on Monday and Tuesday at the CenturyLink Invitational, co-hosted by Division II affiliates Barton and Mount Olive Colleges. Lucas Norman once again paced the Battling Bishops with rounds of 74 and 77 to finish at +7 and tied for 12th-place, narrowly missing the event's 10-man All-Tournament team.

Bishop Golfers Open Season With Tourney Win
September 07, 2012The men's golf team of North Carolina Wesleyan opened its 2012 fall season with a bang on Friday, turning in a first-place finish at the Louisburg College Confab Invite. The Battling Bishops beat out the host Hurricanes by three strokes with a team score of 304.
