Golf's Anderson Earns First All-Conference Honor of Career

Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South has released its 2017 postseason awards in the sport of golf, and for the first time since 2011, the Bishops had a player recognized with the naming of sophomore Grady Anderson to the Honorable Mention squad.

The honor is no small feat for any player competing in the USA South, one of the toughest Division III conferences in the nation with four teams ranked in the top-10 nationally. One of 14 players to garner accolades, Anderson has posted a team-best 74.5 stroke average with six top-10 finishes this season. He has turned in four sub-par rounds thusfar and most recently posted his season-low round of 67 at the Marine FCU Invite hosted by Camp Lejeune.

Also earning recognition for the Bishops was freshman Dustin Wood as a member of the USA South's All-Sportsmanship team.

Elsewhere around the league, Huntingdon College's Addison Lambeth earned Player of the Year honors while his coach, David Schreyer, was named Coach of the Year. Greensboro College's Grant Powell was named Rookie of the Year to wrap-up the individual award winners.
