Rocky Mount, N.C. - It's been a steady climb in the national rankings for the N.C. Wesleyan golf team over the past few seasons, and the Bishops have now cracked Golfstat.com's top-20 for the first time in program history. Wesleyan came in at #20 in the collegiate golfstat rankings, while boasting a #21 rank in the Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll.

Playing the arguably the toughest DIII golf conference in the country, head coach Gregg Ripke's Battling Bishops are currently ranked 4th in the USA South. Huntingdon College came in at #1 nationally, Methodist at #5, and Greensboro #11 in the Golfweek rankings.

Much of the Wesleyan's success this fall can be attributed junior Grady Anderson, who currently boasts a team-best 70.8 stroke average. The Bishops' top five golfers, in fact, have combined for a 73.1 stroke average over three tournaments. NCWC has carded team finishes of #1, #2, and #4 thusfar in 2017 heading into their final tournament of the fall -- the highly-competitive Chick-Fil-A Intercollegiate hosted by Berry College on October 23rd and 24th.

Congratulations to the Bishops on their national recognition!
