Trio of Bishops Garner USA South Postseason Accolades in Golf

Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has released its postseason awards in the sport of men's golf. North Carolina Wesleyan is pleased to announce that a trio of Battling Bishops have garnered accolades.

Leading the way for a second straight year is junior Grady Anderson as an Honorable Mention selection. Anderson has posted a 74.5 stroke average thusfar this season, highlighted by a career-low round of 66 at the Royal Lakes Invitational and medalist honors at Wesleyan's annual Don Scalf Tourney. Overall, the Jacksonville, N.C. native has earned two top-5 and three top-10 finishes over nine events.

Joining Anderson with Honorable Mention honors is freshman Juan de Giacomi. The Argentina product led the 18th-ranked Bishops with a team-best 73.8 stroke average and four top-10 finishes.

Rounding out Wesleyan's honorees is sophomore Tucker Mooring of Bath, N.C. as a member of the conference's All-Sportsmanship Team.

Elsewhere around the league, Methodist University's Chris Drysdale earned Player of the Year honors while his coach, Steve Conley, was named Coach of the Year. Maryville College's Tyler Bray was named Rookie of the Year to wrap-up the individual award winners.
