USA South Golfer of the Week

Juan de Giacomi, N.C. Wesleyan - The sophomore from Posadas, Argentina was named as the USA South Golfer of the Week on Wednesday by placing fifth out of 70 golfers at the Gordin Classic hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University in Columbus, Ohio earlier this week.

De Giacomi led the Bishops by shooting a three-under par 213. The tournament featured 11 teams currently ranked in the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) National Top-25 Poll. In the three-round event, de Giacomi opened with an even-par 72, followed with a two-under par 70 and finished with a one-under par 71 to help the Bishops to a seventh place team finish.

This is his first award of the season. 

The Golf Team is next in action on October 15-16 in Destin, FL at the D3 Golfweek Invitational.
