Bishop Golfers fall to 9th after Day Two

SANDESTIN, Fla. - The NC Wesleyan Golf team fell to ninth place after round two of the competitive Golfweek DIII Invitational at the Raven Golf Club in Sandestin, FL on Monday afternoon.

The Bishops shot 298 as a team on Monday, nine strokes worse than Sunday's first round, but are just two strokes out of a tie for 7th with Hampden-Sydney and LaGrange College while Emory leads Huntingdon by six shots for first place. 

Senior Grady Anderson and sophomore Juan de Giacomi are leading the way for the Bishops as they currently sit in a tie for 10th overall at even par 142. de Giacomi shot another even 71 while Anderson scored a 73 in round two. 

Junior Mariano Silvestri then shot a 76 in round two as he improved by two strokes from his day one score as he sits in 66th place at 154 (+12). Luke Thornton is currently in a tie for 55th (152, +10) after his round of 78 while Nico Strafe shot 79 and is tied with Silvestri in 66th. 

There is a three way tie for first at -4 under par 138. The Bishops will tee off in the final Round 3 Tuesday morning.
