Wesleyan Golf Ranked 11th in Latest Poll

The North Carolina Wesleyan Golf team is ranked 11th in the country in Division III when the latest Bushnell Golfweek DIII Coaches Poll was released on Friday. Wesleyan jumped a poll best 14 spots from their #25 ranking in September.

Emory University (Ga.) was a unanimous selection for #1 in the country in the poll receiving all 18 first place votes and 450 points as they are coming off a victory in the Golfweek Invitational earlier this week.

Fellow USA South foe, Huntingdon College (Ala.), is ranked 2nd, 36 points behind Emory in the poll while previous #2 Methodist fell to #7. Wesleyan then comes in at 11 with 247 points as they sit ahead of USA South foes Greensboro College in 12th and LaGrange (Ga.) in 14th. Fellow regional foes Guilford and Washington & Lee, out of the ODAC, are ranked 6th and 8th respectively as well.

NCWC is coming off a 7th place finish out of 18 teams in the Golfweek Invite earlier this week. The Bishops also won their home tournament back in September as well. 

They are next in action on Monday and Tuesday at the Guilford Invitational.
