Wesleyan Golf ranked 12th in latest D-3 Poll

The North Carolina Wesleyan Golf team is ranked nationally at #12 in Division III when the latest Bushnell Golfweek DIII Coaches Poll was released on Friday. Wesleyan is up 13 spots from their #25 ranking in September.

Emory University (Ga.) was a unanimous selection for #1 in the country in the poll receiving all 16 first place votes and 400 points.

Fellow USA South foe, Huntingdon College (Ala.), is ranked 2nd, 39 points behind Emory in the poll while Methodist fell to #8. In-state rival Guilford is 6th while Wesleyan then comes in at #12 with 215 points as they sit ahead of USA South foes Greensboro College in 15th and LaGrange (Ga.) in 16th.

NCWC is coming off a 6th place finish out of 18 teams in the Guilford College Memorial Tournament last month. The Bishops also won their home tournament back in September as well.

They are next in action in the spring on March 4 and 5 at the Callaway Gardens Tournament at Berry College (Ga.).
