USA South Champion Golf Team receives their rings

ROCKY MOUNT, NC-  The 2018 USA South Tournament Champion Battling Bishop Golf team received their rings in a beautiful on-campus ceremony inside the Dunn Center on Wednesday, Nov. 28. 

The Bishops won their first-ever conference tournament title by 2 strokes over runner-up and eventual national champion Methodist University to advance to the national tournament for the first time in school history. Senior Grady Anderson also was the individual medalist at the tournament and named most valuable golfer for the second straight year. Anderson and teammate Juan de Giacomi were named all-conference and all-tournament members as well.

The 2018-19 team completed their fall season by ranking 12th in the nation in Division III in the most recent poll while they also won their home tournament, the Don Scalf Classic by 12 strokes back in September.

The 2019 defending champs will next be in action March 4-5 at the Callaway Gardens Tournament hosted by Berry College (Ga.) in Pine Mountain, Ga. They will defend their conference title later in the season in LaGrange, GA on April 25-27 at Highland CC.
