Maryville, Tenn. - Gamewinners from senior Jordan Davis and sophomore Ryan Halliday helped the NCWC men's soccer team extend its win streak to nine matches over the weekend and remain atop the USA South standings.

Sunday's much-anticipated league tilt at Maryville did not disappoint. The Scots, who entered the match undefeated in league play, fell victim to a misplayed free kick in the 28th minute that Davis collected and crossed to Halliday for an 18-yard shot.

Freshman keeper Jordan Williams made the lead stand up over the next 62 minutes, making three saves on 10 Maryville shots. The Bishops finished with 12 shots in the match, as MVC goalie Ryan Jorgenson made four saves.

Previously on Saturday, the Bishops handed Pfeiffer a 2-1 defeat thanks to goals from Kobi Boompong (15' unassisted) and Halliday (27' from Boompong). Williams made a trio of saves in net, while as a team, Wesleyan out-shot the Falcons 13-10 on the day.

Wesleyan (10-5, 8-1 USA South) will host LaGrange next Saturday at 2:00pm on Senior Day at Scalf Field.
