The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its 2018 All-Conference awards for men's soccer. Greensboro College's Jordy Briceno was named Player of the Year, William Peace's Ivan Ponce claimed Rookie of the Year honors while his coach, Ryan Huber, collected Coach of the Year accolades. NC Wesleyan then had five players named to one of the three all-conference teams.

Making the First team was junior defender Joseph Brooks as he finished this season with just 2 goals, but was a stout defender helping the Bishops allow just 16 goals all season with 7 shutouts and less than one goal per game.

Senior forward Sheriff Secka and junior midfielder Mo Jallow then both made the all-conference Second team for their seasons. Secka finished with 5 goals, 2 assists, and 12 points on the season while also missing five games due to injury. Jallow had just one assist, but helped guide the offense in the middle.

Making the all-Conference Third Team was freshman midfielder Matteo Costa and fellow freshman goalkeeper Tobias Borzel. Costa finished the year with 4 goals and 4 assists for 12 points while Borzel allowed just 10 goals in net all season while going 8-3 as a starter with 24 saves, 5 shutouts and a 70.6 save percentage.

Finally, making the All-Sportsmanship team was sophomore defender Facundo Rondan. He was also a standout defender on the back line with Brooks all season while also never picking up a card.

The Bishops (9-7-1) were back in action on Friday when they traveled to Maryville College (Tenn.) to battle the top seed from the West in the Conference Tournament semifinals, but fell 1-0 as their season came to an unsatisfying end. However, Freshman defender Enzo Genovese was also named to the USA South Men's Soccer All-Tournament Team as well for helping to allow just one goal all tournament while scoring his first goal in the 4-0 win over Peace in the first round.
