Atlanta, Ga. - Senior Robert Kjellberg and freshman teammate Sebastian Sikh advanced to the championship doubles round of this weekend's ITA Fall Regionals hosted by Emory University, eventually falling to top-seeded Eagles Alex Ruderman and Ian Wagner by an 8-3 score. Kjellberg and Sikh had previously knocked off a pair of Emory duos in quarterfinal and semifinal play to reach the title match.

Kjellberg and Sikh highlighted an impressive weekend for the Battling Bishops, who were victorious in every first round match played. Freshman Fernando Nardelli and junior Eduardo Ugalde, as well as the tandem of Mikhail Konnov and Fabio Pereira, reached the round of 16 in the main doubles draw with wins over players from Guilford and Piedmont, respectively.

In the "B" draw, freshmen David Chang and Gleb Gisis teamed for a pair of wins over Covenant and Oglethorpe before falling to Rhodes in the semifinals.

On the singles side, Sikh dominated the first two rounds with a pair of straight-set wins over players from EHC and Emory. He proceeded to win a 6-4 third set versus Sewanee's Eric Roddy before falling in semifinal play to Emory's Rafe Mosetick. Kjellberg and Pereira also advanced to the round of 16 with victories in rounds one and two.

Konnov and Nardelli avoided the consolation round with single wins in the Main Draw.

In the "B" bracket, Chang advanced to the semifinals with a trio of wins over players from Piedmont, Methodist and Guilford. He was eventually eliminated by Emory's David Omsky in an 8-3 superset. Gisis, who downed Methodist's Jake Groce in straights in round one, was also knocked out by an Eagle opponent.
