Sikh and Appelqvist Sweep USA South Weekly Tennis Awards

Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has released it weekly awards for April 10th, and N.C. Wesleyan is pleased to announce that junior Sebastian Sikh and freshman David Appelqvist have swept the men's tennis accolades. This is each player's third award of the season.

MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sebastian Sikh, N.C. Wesleyan - A native of Eskilstuna, Sweden, Sikh earned 2-0 record at both #1 singles and doubles last week for the Bishops versus USA South competition. In singles play, Sikh earned wins over opponents from Greensboro and Averett. In doubles, Sikh teamed with Ioannis Brokakis to collect the pair of victories.

MEN'S TENNIS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
David Appelqvist, N.C. Wesleyan - Appelqvist, a product of Motala, Sweden, earned a 2-0 singles and doubles record last week for the Bishops versus USA South competition. In singles play at the #4 position, Appelqvist grabbed wins over opponents from Greensboro and Averett. In doubles, at the #3 position, Appelqvist teamed with J.D. Telles, to gain the two wins.
