Bishops Advance in NCAAs with 5-0 Shutout of Thomas More

Atlanta, Ga. - The N.C. Wesleyan men's tennis team has advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament with a 5-0 shutout of Thomas More College. The Bishops will now face 2nd-ranked Emory University on Saturday at 10:00am.

NCWC surrendered just four games in doubles play, led by an 8-1 win by the top-seeded duo of Sebastian Sikh and Ioannis Brokakis (pictured). David Appelqvist and Richard Gende proceeded to seal the match with a pair of straight-set victories at #4 and #6 singles, respectively. Once the match was clinched, the three remaining singles tilts were suspended with Wesleyan up a set in each.
