Sewanee, Tenn. - Junior Sebastian Sikh officially wrapped up the 2016-17 athletics season on Thursday afternoon, dropping a hard-fought decision to MIT's Tyler Barr in three sets (6-4, 2-6, 6-4) in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Men's Singles Championship. Sikh became just the third Bishop player in history to make the 32-man field, joining Wesleyan greats Robert Kjellberg and Artsiom Prostak among the program's elite.

With the loss, Sikh completes his junior year with 18 victories, as well as USA South Player of the Year and Tournament Most Valuable Player accolades to his credit. He led Wesleyan to the first 20-win season in program history, and the former All-American is poised for a tremendous senior year in 2017-18.

Congrats to Sebastian on yet another stellar season!
