Rocky Mount, N.C. - The Battling Bishop women's basketball team honored its lone senior on Wednesday night in Everett Gymnasium, recognizing KeChae Parker prior to the tip and then riding her team-high 14 points to a 60-48 win over Methodist University. With the victory, the Bishops move to 12-12 overall, 9-6 in USA South action.

Behind an enthusiastic crowd supporting a "Pink Out" in honor of breast cancer awareness, the Bishops were able to overcome a poor shooting performance in the first quarter to trail just 26-23 at the half. Wesleyan proceeded to out-score the Monarchs 17-6 in the third quarter to take an 8-point lead, 40-32, into the final period. Parker netted six points in the third quarter alone, scoring six more in the fourth to help NCWC pull away.

With a comfortable double-digit lead, the senior fittingly capped off the night with a transition lay-up with 22 seconds left that proved to be Wesleyan's final points of the game. She added five rebounds and three steals to complete a solid all-around performance.

Kodi Centry paced MU with 14 points of her own. The Monarchs were forced into 34 turnovers on the night, resulting in 22 Bishop points.

Wesleyan wraps up regular season play on Saturday at Averett University. Tip-off is slated for 2:00pm.
