Rocky Mount, N.C. - N.C. Wesleyan's lacrosse squad dropped a pair of matches over the weekend, falling to Pfeiffer at home on Saturday before dropping a road contest at Greensboro on Sunday.

On Saturday, Pfeiffer raced out to a 10-0 lead before NCWC freshman Alexandra Cucinotta controlled the draw and got the Bishops on the board with an unassisted score at the 18:04 mark. Ken'dreall Copeland notched a free position score in the second half as the Bishops fell by an eventual 23-2 score.

Cucinotta controlled five draws and collected five ground balls, while Molly O'Friel led the Falcons (9-1) with 15 draw controls, eight goals, and three assists on the day. Bishop goalie Ashlee Johnson made 12 saves on 43 Pfeiffer shots.

On Sunday, a trio of Cucinotta scores and an unassisted goal by Samantha Valeros kept the Bishops and Pride close through the first 15 minutes of play. With Greensboro holding a 7-4 advantage, the Pride reeled off nine unanswered goals before the break to pull away and secure an eventual 24-5 league victory.

Cucinotta finished with four goals on the day, while Johnson made a season-high 15 stops on 44 Pride shots. Kara Whitson paced GC (7-5, 5-2 USA South) with six goals and two assists.
