Pair of Bishops Earn USA South Postseason Accolades in Lacrosse

Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South has released its postseason awards in women's lacrosse with pair of Battling Bishops earning honors. Freshman midfielder Alexandra Cucinotta led the way as a Second Team All-Conference selection.

Cucinotta picks up the first All-Conference nod of her career after wrapping up a stellar freshman campaign that saw her shatter the program's season record for draw controls (106) and tally the second most goals in NCWC history (56), which ranked 4th and 6th in the USA South standings, respectively. Additionally, the Drexel Hill, Penn. native led the team with 68 ground balls and 23 caused turnovers on the season.

Junior Michaela Nicholas earned recognition as a member of the league's All-Sportsmanship Team.

Elsewhere around the conference, Meredith College swept the individual honors as Carlee Joseph was named Player of the Year, Lilia Cruz earned Rookie of the Year, and Lauren Scott collected Coach of the Year.
