Kansas City, Mo. - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America recently released its NCAA Division III All-Region teams, and for the first time in over a decade, the North Carolina Wesleyan women's soccer program had a player garner honors in the form of senior forward Rebecca Staylor.

Staylor recently completed her Battling Bishop tenure as the program's third all-time leading scorer with 100 career points (39 goals, 22 assists). Most recently, the Virginia Beach native garnered USA South First Team All-Conference accolades after leading the team in scoring with a conference-best 18 goals during the regular season, including five gamewinners. She added six assists to finish with 42 total points, which ranked second in the league overall.

The USA South Athletic Conference had just two players garner All-South Atlantic Region honors... Staylor as a Third Team selection and Meredith College's Danielle Lee as a Second Team pick.

It was also announced in mid-December that Staylor garnered Third Team Academic All-Region status. Congratulations Becca on your hard work both on and off the field!
