Rocky Mount, N.C. - The Battling Bishop women's soccer team opened up USA South Conference play over the weekend with a pair of victories over league foes Ferrum College and Mary Baldwin University at Scalf Field.

Saturday's conference opener saw Wesleyan post a 2-1 victory over Ferrum thanks to goals by Julia Rebellon and Logan Bill. The Panthers (3-3) had taken the initial 1-0 lead a goal by Chantavy Crespin in the 28th minute, but Rebellon's penalty kick at the 38:56 mark knotted the score at the break.
