Women’s soccer falls to Pfeiffer

Misenheimer, NC- the N.C. Wesleyan women's soccer team dropped their final conference game of the season on Saturday falling 4-1 to Pfeiffer University on the road. 

The Lady Bishops were led by a goal from senior Maggie Rankin in the 80th minute, but could not overcome their 3-goal first half deficit. Pfeiffer (10-2, 6-1) outshot Wesleyan 13-7 overall while sophomore goalkeeper Alicia Jacobs made 5 saves.

NCWC falls to 4-8-1 overall and 2-5 in the conference and will next enter the USA South tournament first round with a game at Methodist University (NC) on Wednesday at 6 pm.
