FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The 6th seeded NC Wesleyan College women's soccer team had their season come to an end on Wednesday evening falling 2-1 on the road to #3 Methodist University.

This was the second straight week with a loss to Methodist as they also squeaked out a 1-0 overtime win last week. Wesleyan finishes the season 4-9-1 overall while Methodist improves to 8-6 and will next go on the road to face #2 Piedmont College on Saturday.

Senior forward Jordan Forbess led the Bishops with a goal scoring in the 60th minute to tie the match at one after Methodist had scored early on in the 12th minute. Forbess' goal was her 5th of the season.

MU then, unfortunately, clinched the game with their goal in the 71st minute and held off the Battling Bishops for the win.

Sophomore Goalkeeper Kimberly Lamm made 7 saves on 8 shots for the Bishops in defeat while junior defender Victoria Burkhart led NC Wesleyan with 5 shots.

Making the second team all-East Division was junior midfielder Sarah Cook and junior defender Victoria Burkhart while senior Anna Stribling was named to the all-sportsmanship team as well.

The Bishops graduate 11 seniors but look to come back strong next season to compete for a conference title.
