Women's Soccer falls at Methodist

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The NC Wesleyan College women's soccer team dropped their road conference match at Methodist 3-1 under the lights Saturday night.

A scoreless first half saw MU take just a small 8-6 lead in the shots into the break. MU then got on the board first in the 52 minute before the Monarchs added an insurance goal in the 7th minute to lead 2-0.

Wesleyan then struck back in the 80th minute with a goal from sophomore Isabel Neall , but MU tallied one more a minute later to put the game away.

Goalkeeper Alicia Jacobs finished making 10 saves on 13 shots while Neall and Sophia Sweeney also attempted two shots each.

The Lady Bishops fall to 2-2-2 on the season and next return to action on Tuesday to host Mary Baldwin at 4 PM.
