Kohl Orner will be entering his third season in 2020-21 as an assistant coach with the NC Wesleyan women's soccer program after joining the Battling Bishops in the summer of 2018.
Orner comes to Rocky Mount after completing a one-year graduate assistantship at USA South foe Averett University in Virginia.
Orner is a graduate of Division II Millersville University (Pa.) where he enjoyed a successful collegiate career with the Marauders, earning both All-Conference and All-Region honors as a senior goalkeeper. That same season, Orner led MU to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championship and NCAA Tournament appearances, notching ten shutouts and playing every minute of every match. A native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, he finished his career with the best goals against average in program history (0.790) and was named a PSAC scholar-athlete.
Orner received his B.S. in Education, Technology and Engineering Education from Millersville in December of 2016.
In addition to his coaching duties, Orner will also assist with Wesleyan's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). He completed his U.S. Soccer National D licensure in December of 2018 and also achieved his Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Averett that same month. Orner is also a staff coach for the North Carolina Olympic Development Program (NC ODP) since 2017.
