Title: Volunteer Cross Country/Track & Field Coach

Chris Belcher enters his second year as the Volunteer Assistant Track and Cross Country Coach. Belcher comes to Wesleyan as a full-time professional track and field athlete and Coach Dunn is excited to have him back for his second season. ” Coach Belcher will reiterate the same coaching philosophy and level of professionalism that he was taught in the winning system that has garnered the 2022 Men’s Division I NCAA Indoor National Championships Runner-Up, 17 MEAC conference championship titles, 1 Big South Championship, 2 Olympians, 12 combined individual/relay NCAA champions and 142 All-American honors.  

Belcher is also signed with Adidas and was formally signed with Nike for 6 years. He continues to train for the 2024 Olympic Trials with hopes of attending the games in Paris. His professional and collegiate accolades include the 2019 World Relays, Gold Medalist in the Men’s 4x100 Meter, two World Championship teams for USA (London 17’ & Doha 19’), 2017 NCAA Division I Bronze medal for 4x100 with a time of 38.47, and 2017 NCAA Division I Bronze Medal in the 100 Meter dash (9.93). 

Belcher holds a Bachelor's degree from North Carolina A&T University in Liberal Studies in 2018. Belcher also was a volunteer assistant coach at NC A&T for 4 years.
