NCWC Drops Pair, Prepares for 2014 Dig Pink Night

Raleigh, N.C. - N.C. Wesleyan's volleyball squad dropped two matches at Saturday's USA South Play Day in Raleigh, falling 3-0 to league-leading Maryville before suffering a 3-1 setback versus Covenant. The Bishops will now prepare for Wednesday's home finale versus Meredith College, which will serve as NCWC's 2014 Dig Pink Night in Everett Gymnasium.

Versus Maryville, set scores were 26-24, 25-17 and 25-13. Beth Bradham and Samantha Morton led Wesleyan's offensive efforts with seven kills apiece, while as a team, the Bishops won the blocking battle 10-5.

Against Covenant, set scores were 25-15, 25-19, 24-26 and 25-23. Freshman Emily McLain managed a team-high nine kills, and libero Christina Huber notched 20 digs.
