Fayetteville, N.C. - The USA South has released its weekly awards for September 5th, and North Carolina Wesleyan is pleased to announce that senior libero Christina Huber of volleyball has earned the league's first Defensive Player of the Week award of the season.

Huber, a native of Virginia Beach, averaged a conference-best 5.91 digs per set for the Bishops over five matches last week. She led the league with 130 total digs during that span, posting a season-high 34 in Wesleyan's 3-0 sweep of Emory & Henry on Saturday.
