Huber Eclipses 1,900 Career Digs in 3-1 Loss at Greensboro

Greensboro, N.C. - The Battling Bishop volleyball team closed out its regular season with a 3-1 loss at Greensboro on Saturday. Despite the loss, senior Christina Huber notched a career-high 40 digs to eclipse 1,900 for her career. Huber currently ranks 2nd all-time in digs with 1,905 during her Wesleyan tenure.

Set scores of the match were 25-22, 17-25, 27-25, and 25-23. The match was nearly even in every statistical category, with the Pride holding their biggest advantage in total blocks at 13-8. Wesleyan used a balanced attacked that saw Tori Stewart and and Samantha Morton tally 11 kills apiece, while the Pride relied heavily on 18 kills by Brandy Johnson.

The loss leaves NCWC with a 7-8 record in USA South play and gives them the #6 seed in next week's USA South Conference Tournament. Wesleyan will take on #3 William Peace University at Meredith College on Tuesday at 5:00pm. The winner advances to play the #2 Angels at 7:30pm.
