Bishop Volleyball Cruises to 3-0 Sweep in Season Opener at MACU

Elizabeth City, N.C. - N.C. Wesleyan's volleyball squad cruised to a 3-0 sweep in Tuesday night's season opener at Mid-Atlantic Christian University. Set scores were 25-12, 25-19, and 25-7. Seniors Emily McLain and Samantha Morton led the way with five kills apiece.

In addition to McLain and Morton, freshman Amanda Yates turned in a solid performance with four kills and zero attack errors en route to a .444 hitting percentage. Sophomore Kelly Ammons dished out a team-high six assists, while freshman Callie Cline anchored the defensive effort with 13 digs. As a team, the Bishops racked up 19 service aces, led by freshman Tiffani Rosen's six.
