Volleyball Falls at Randolph

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The NC Wesleyan volleyball team fell in three sets on the road at non-conference foe Randolph College (Va.) Friday evening.

Randolph won the first set 25-19 behind 13 kills before taking the second set 25-15. A tight third set then saw the Wildcats squeak it out 26-24 to take the match.

Wesleyan totaled 15 kills led by five from freshman Lauren Weaver and four from junior OH Autumn Spence. Weaver also had three blocks while Spence hit .188.

Junior DS Hannah Huls and freshman libero Devin Lassiter also combined for 24 digs, collecting 12 apiece with Huls adding an ace.

Wesleyan falls to 8-15 overall while RC improves to 7-14. The Bishops are back in action Saturday in a conference tri-match at Averett University (Va.) to battle the Cougars and Methodist at 2 and 4 PM.
