NCWU Volleyball Falls to Carolina University 

The NCWU Volleyball Team hosted the Bruins of Carolina University on Thursday night in a non-conference matchup. The Bishops fell to the Bruins in another tight three-setter, losing 19-25, 24-26, and 17-25.  

The Bishops struggled offensively, managing 27 kills to hit a team .099. First-year middle Emily Foraker earned 6 of those kills. Setter Sloan Martin and outside Bijou Patel totaled a matching 5 kills each with Martin adding 14 assists.  

Defensive play was scrappy, allowing a comeback in the second set before falling short 24-26. Martin and fifth-year Mary Cat Davis earned 10 digs each. First-year Katie Fulton added 8 digs, followed by senior Kira Kristjanson with 7 digs.  

The Bishops travel to Greensboro, NC on Friday for a conference tri-match. Matchups include Greensboro College at 3:00 PM and Pfeiffer University at 5:00 PM.
