Rocky Mount, N.C. - After a three-year hiatus, the North Carolina Wesleyan Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the reinstatement of its women's cross country team for the fall of 2014. A head coaching search is already underway for the sport, which was last sponsored during the fall of 2010.
The addition of women's cross country keeps the number of female sport offerings at six for the Battling Bishops, who recently suspended its lacrosse program. Wesleyan now offers 12 sports at the varsity level, six each for men and women, which are all sponsored by the USA South Athletic Conference.
