Mt. Olive, N.C. - N.C. Wesleyan's cross country squad competed in its second dual of the past two weeks on Saturday, traveling to Division I Mt. Olive for a 5K meet. The race followed last week's 3K dual at league foe Methodist University, and the two races combine to complete the Bishops' final tune-ups prior to the USA South Championship slated for November 1st.
The scores of both meets saw the Bishops fall 15-40. At Methodist, freshman Ariana Paz finished with a team-best 3K time of 15:18, while sophomore Neryzza Cala paced the Bishops at Mt. Olive with a 5K time of 26:36.
The USA South Championship meet on November 1st will be held at Hagan Stone Park in Pleasant Garden, N.C. where the Bishops competed in the Greensboro Classic earlier in the season.
