Bayden Collins is in his first year as the Sports Information Director at NCWU.

He previously served as the Director of Baseball Operations for the Battling Bishops Baseball program after joining NCWU in the summer of 2019. Before his time at Wesleyan, Collins served as Special Assistant to the Head Coach at Northern Nash High School for 4 seasons.

Collins earned his high school diploma from Rocky Mount Academy in 2021 and is currently a senior at Campbell University, which makes him one of the youngest Sports Information Directors in NCAA history.

"I am ecstatic about Bayden's new role within our athletic department," shared Vice President of Athletics Aaron Denton. "He possesses a strong work ethic and has a passion for people and athletics. I look forward to him building a strong foundation between our athletic department, students, student-athletes, fans, and community as a whole."

Collins is also excited about his new role at Wesleyan by saying, "Being named the Sports Information Director here at Wesleyan is one of the greatest honors of my life and I look forward to building on my relationships with everyone across campus. I am eager to lead the athletic department through the new digital and social media age by promoting our athletes in the best way possible. I would also like to thank Dr. Duff and Mr. Denton for giving me this tremendous opportunity."

Collins serves as the athletic department's primary communications liaison for the USA South Athletic Conference, media, and NCAA for all of Wesleyan's sixteen varsity athletic programs. His responsibilities include writing press releases, game programs, and game recaps, as well as feature stories for various publications. He also oversees statistics for all varsity sports and is in charge of the athletic department's website, social media accounts, and record book.
