Baseball Rookie of the Week
Jackson Hobbs, N.C. Wesleyan - The freshman first baseman from Brandon, Florida went a combined 5-for-11 (.455) with a .600 on-base percentage and a .455 slugging percentage to go along with four runs scored, two RBI and three walks as the 9th ranked Battling Bishops swept a three-game series from USA South foe Pfeiffer last week.
Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Kevin Williams, N.C. Wesleyan - The senior from Statesville, North Carolina earned a win out of the bullpen in his only appearance last week for the 9th ranked Battling Bishops, a 5-3 win over USA South foe Pfeiffer. William came into the game with two outs in the first inning and proceeded to go the rest of the way (8 1/3 innings), allowing just one run on five hits with zero walks and ten strikeouts.
The duo helped NC Wesleyan defeat Pfeiffer by scores of 18-1, 14-12, and 5-3 over the weekend to improve to 23-3 on the season and 11-1 and first place in the East Division of the USA South.
