The 2022 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year have been announced in all 10 regions. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America Committee.
ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team selections are nominated for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors. The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-America teams will be announced on Thursday, June 2.
The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams for all divisions will be announced Wednesday, June 22 while the D3baseball.com all-region teams will be announced on June 1 as well and will be announced on our website on Wednesday as NCWU had four players named to those teams.
For the East Division Champion NCWU baseball team, making the ABCA South Region 6 First Team were junior 2B Davie Morgan while senior pitcher Derrick Carter and junior OF Drifton Padgett were named to the All-Region Second Team. Morgan led the team in hits, doubles, average, walks, on-base, and slugging percentage. Carter also led the team in wins, innings, strikeouts, and starter ERA. Padgett was second on the team in average, hits, and doubles.
Carter and Morgan were each named to the USA South Conference First Team in May while Carter was named Pitcher of the Year in the conference. Padgett was also named to the all-conference second team.

The ABCA, founded in 1945, is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches at the amateur level. Its over 13,000 members represent all 50 states and 25 countries. Since its initial meeting of 27 college baseball coaches in June 1945, Association membership has broadened to include eight divisions: NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA, Pacific Association Division, High School and Youth.
