NC Wesleyan College Head Men's Basketball Coach John Thompson has named former player Adrian Moore, as an Assistant Coach for the 2020-21 season, replacing Michael Mosley who spent 7 years with the Battling Bishops. Moore will also be working as an Admissions Counselor at Wesleyan.

North Carolina Wesleyan's Male Student-Athlete of the Year in 2017, Moore, a 2018 graduate, was named USA South All-Conference in 2016, 2017, and 2018, while receiving All-Academic recognition the same three seasons. Additionally, he was an All-South Region player in 2017 and was named to the NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches) Honors Court in 2018.

Noted for his hard work, commitment, responsibility and reliability, Moore should bring great energy in his role as Assistant Coach.

"Adrian is one of us. He is dedicated, diligent and determined. He is very focused and highly motivated. He is also a tremendous leader. All of this, along with his loyalty, communication skills, and winning personality make him someone who will benefit our players and our team greatly," stated Coach Thompson.

Moore will work with all facets of the program, with an emphasis on player development on and off the court and recruiting. He joins Garrett Dorfman and Justin Griffith, a 2012 alumni, to complete the Bishop coaching staff. Moore and Griffith have valuable playing experiences they can share with 5 combined championships in the program.

"This is a dream come true," Moore said. "Ever since my recruiting visit this has always been home to me. To come back and coach at my alma mater, and with Coach T, is really an honor. Coach believed in a kid from Plymouth, NC back in 2014 and now I have a chance to make an impact, give back, and stay in the game that I love."
